We are often asked about ways to reduce embroidery cost on garments. Embroidery is priced by stitch count. This is for two reasons. 1. More stitches take more thread. 2. More stitches take more time. So to reduce your stitch count, you can do a couple of things. You can reduce the size of your image, and you can reduce stitches in “blank areas” Instead of filling in an area with stitches you can have the garment in the back.
Embroidery is actually pretty fun. The end result is awesome, and you can do multiple colors without a great increase in cost.
Emroidery does have an initial set up fee, and that is to get your file digitized. Digitizing is the process of converting your file into a file that indicates exactly where each individual stitch goes. It also tells the embroidery machine when to switch colors and go to the next color. If you have a digitized file, send it to us, and we will use that to save you money. Digitized files are usually a .dst or .pes format.
